Elrick 4-String Medium Bass Strings

Elrick 4-string Medium bass strings were developed in collaboration with renowned string designer Les Cooper (DR, Dunlop). They are made in the U.S.A. with high-grade string wire to provide accurate stable tuning and intonation, and piano-like clarity without harshness.

More Resonance & Stronger Fundamental

Elrick bass strings have a heavier hexagonal core wire, a thicker inner wrap wire, and a thinner outer wrap wire. This design provides more resonance, stronger note fundamental, and dynamic responsiveness throughout the fingerboard range.

Less String Noise

These strings feature a thinner outer string wrap wire which reduces string noise and finger grab. So, you don't have annoying string clacking or metal-like sounds. In addition, you'll be able to have lower playing action without string chatter.

Balanced Tension

Computer controlled machine wound for precise string to string tension and balance, along with greater string consistency and brightness.

Why We Like These Medium-Light Bass Strings

We have played and sold many brands of strings. And we've done numerous (so many, we lost count) bass setups. String choice is personal and we get it. But, we have found Elrick strings to be very consistent, balanced across the fingerboard, and intonate very well. And one more big factor, they bring a liveliness to any bass we've installed them on.

As I mentioned in another comment, it’s my first time trying Elrick strings and these were replacing some stock strings that came with a kit build I did last year for a MusicMan clone. I chose the stainless strings to get more brightness with this bass. The feel is great and they hold their tuning right from the start. The stainless gives a lot more zing & top-end than I’ve heard with other strings, especially for slap. Really glad I chose these and looking forward to sticking with Elrick strings now.

Dave at Club Bass & Guitar recommended that I try a set of Elrick strings. These strings added a whole new tonal dimension to my already fine Modern Vintage bass. These are now my go-to strings for all of my basses!!
