'60s Old School Mojo & Bass Sound

MVP4-62 4-string bass delivers classic '60s bass sound, '60s vintage style, and a genuine vintage vibe. It has a solid Alder body, the wood of '60s basses, and passive custom wound Alnico-V P single coil pickup for vintage tone with punch and clarity. The vintage style bridge produces the note attack and decay of the original classic bridge. Overall, this bass is very responsive for any playing style; finger, pick, slap, thumb.

Roasted Maple For Superior Neck Stability

Roasted Maple is Maple that has been kiln treated at high temperatures in an oxygen-free oven to remove moisture, sugars and other wood impurities. The result of this process is a superior, improved and stabilized neck with increased note sustain, resonance, and no dead spots.

Authentic Indian Rosewood ‘Slab’ Fingerboard

MVP4-62 4-string bass has an authentic Indian Rosewood ‘Slab’ fingerboard. A genuine Dalbergia (Rosewood) not Pau Ferro, Morado, Bolivian or other substitute. The ‘slab’ fingerboard is highly desired by vintage collectors as the wood content is more stable and resonant than the ‘mid-60s’ veneer board construction.

The combination of the Alder body, roasted Maple neck, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, custom P pickups, and steel bridge, makes the MVP4-62 best '60s P-style bass with vintage mojo.

For the last year I’ve been on the hunt for a P-bass. I already have a jazz bass a classic sound but I felt I needed an alternative especially when doing studio sessions and various gigs around town. Well this bass surpasses what I was expecting. You want the P-bass sound you got it with this bass, craftsmanship you got it, aesthetic on point.
    Thanks again Dave

Rarely does hype meet reality. This is one of those times. I’m in shock, the nicest P bass I’ve played, and I’ve owned and played a plenty. Thanks for bringing them to Canada Dave!
