'60s Vintage-Style With Modern Updates

MVP4-62 4-string bass delivers a boutique instrument experience with '60s vintage-style, and a modern build. When you put this bass in your hands, it's like you're home. That classic '60s P-bass tone is at your fingers, and the slim neck is effortless to play.

Alder Body

Tonewood of the '60s. The solid Alder body provides the classic warm mid-forward tone that's heard on countless recordings. The MVP4-62 body is solid Alder, not chambered, for authentic vintage tone.

'60s Style Passive Pickups

Custom wound Alnico-V single coil pickups deliver '60s vintage tone with punch and clarity. Very responsive for any playing style; finger, pick, slap, thumb.

Roasted Maple For Superior Neck Stability

Roasted Maple is Maple that has been kiln treated at high temperatures in an oxygen-free oven to remove moisture, sugars and other wood impurities. The result of this process is a superior, improved and stabilized neck with increased note sustain, resonance, and no dead spots.

‘Slab’ Indian Rosewood Fingerboard

Authentic Indian Rosewood fingerboard not Pau Ferro, Morado, Bolivian or other substitute. The period-correct ‘slab’ fingerboard is highly desired by vintage collectors as the wood content is more stable and resonant than the ‘mid-60s’ veneer board construction.

Steel Vintage-Style Bridge

Period-correct bridge made true vintage-style with a steel plate and steel threaded screw saddles instead of pot metal or brass. The result is note attack and decay more like the originals.

For the last year I’ve been on the hunt for a P-bass. I already have a jazz bass a classic sound but I felt I needed an alternative especially when doing studio sessions and various gigs around town. Well this bass surpasses what I was expecting. You want the P-bass sound you got it with this bass, craftsmanship you got it, aesthetic on point.
    Thanks again Dave

Rarely does hype meet reality. This is one of those times. I’m in shock, the nicest P bass I’ve played, and I’ve owned and played a plenty. Thanks for bringing them to Canada Dave!
