'60s Vintage-Style With Boutique Performance

MVJ4-66 4-string bass delivers a boutique instrument experience with '60s vintage style. When you put this bass in your hands, it's like you're home. That classic '60s bass tone along with a modern full-range sound is under your fingers. In addition to that, the slim neck feels great and is effortless to play.

Roasted Maple Neck

Roasted Maple provides a superior, improved and stabilized neck with increased note sustain, resonance, and no dead spots.

Authentic ‘Slab’ Indian Rosewood

The period-correct Indian Rosewood ‘slab’ fingerboard is more stable and resonant than the ‘mid-60s’ veneer fingerboard construction.

  1. Wes Tanney

I purchased a Modern Vintage MVJ4-66 ’60s in November of 2023. I have had two months too really dig in with this bass. I am really impressed! The neck is very nice (love the roasted maple) and easy to play. The pickups are amazing. I have been playing, predominantly, active basses for the last few years and the output of this bass is truly amazing. The rest of the electronics operate smoothly and as expected. The body finish is fantastic. I am glad I made this purchase and it has become my main bass over the last two months!

  2. Christopher Robar

I’ve known Dave at Club Bass & Guitar for 7 years now. He has never steered me wrong and this time was no exception. From the moment he handed this Modern Vintage bass to me, I knew that it was a winner. The neck is solid and super comfortable. Controls are smooth and responsive. Full range of tones from punchy to mellow – You will be able to cut through the mix! This is without a doubt a quality instrument. Do yourself a favour and give these instruments serious consideration.
