GB-Modern 5-String Bass Features
Lightweight & Big-Sound
GB-Modern 5-string bass is developed for the J-Bass enthusiasts with a surprisingly lightweight design for greater comfort and enhanced playability while reducing fatigue. The body is cleverly designed to be light without physically tempering the body. The Maple body core is paired with light-weight Paulownia wings, then is covered with gorgeous Poplar Burl on the top side and White Ash on the back. The result is a combination of great tone woods that is excellent both sonically and aesthetically.
Roasted Maple Neck and Fretboard
By treating the Maple in an oxygen-free oven at a high temperature, the wood stabilizes and develops a golden-brownish look for enhanced stability as well as a more vintage type of look and a big bolder tone.
Nordstrand® Big Single Pickup Set
Nordstrand® Big Single is a single coil that has a large magnet load and winding that fills up the entire space of its bobbin. Because of the super packed coil, these pickups produce monster tone in both active and passive modes.
