GB-Fusion 5-String Bass Features
Vintage Tonewood
Alder has been used for basses since the '50s - a top tonewood choice for bass manufacturers. The solid Alder body on the GB-Fusion 5-string bass delivers the iconic Jazz-style low-end warmth and punchy midrange growl. And it's topped off with a nice looking Spalted Maple veneer that looks great with the Antique Brown Burst over it.
Fast Playing Neck
Hard Rock Maple with Birdseye Maple fingerboard provides even clarity from low B to the high register. Great tone for finger, and slap playing. The C shape profile is comfortable and the Ergonomic Neck Joint allows easy access to the highest frets. So, no weird wrist/hand angle is needed to play those notes.
Jazz Bass Pickup Tone
Cort’s engineers developed their Voiced Tone pickups to allow the natural character of the bass to be faithfully delivered to the amp. Well, they nailed it! We found these pickups have a great Jazz bass tone in passive mode with nothing missing. Flip on the active EQ preamp and bam! Now it's a jazz bass on steroids.
Glow Side Dots
GB-Fusion 5-string bass features Luminlay side dot position markers make it easy to see the fretboard position on dark stages. How cool is that?

Larry LeFebour –
I just took possession of my Cort GB-Fusion 5 yesterday and spent quite a few hours with it. It’s exceeding my expectations so far, with a super-comfortable feel and great sound, both passive & active. The weight of the bass is lighter than I expected and it’s perfectly balanced – no neck dive at all. I’ve never played a maple fretboard before so it’s a lot brighter than I’m used to, but there’s a great range of tones available. The neck has a great satin finish and really comfortable profile. They did an amazing job on the frets – no rough edges at all. The string spacing is a comfortable 18mm, even coming from my MVP4-62. The neck heel is nicely rounded and makes it easy to get to the top range. Dave did an amazing setup on this and it plays really easily. Both the active & passive settings sound great, and the 3 band EQ gives good control over your sound. It’s a solid instrument and an amazing deal for the price.
